One must ask children and birds how cherries and strawberries taste.
Ingredients

1 cup caster sugar
1 cup self raising flour
1 cup almond meal
pinch salt
3 eggs
1/2 cup canola oil
vanilla
1 large jar Morello cherries

Instructions
  1. Mix dry ingredients with a spoon.
  2. Beat 3 eggs.
  3. Mix 1/2 cup canola oil with eggs, add a dash of vanilla.
  4. Add to dry ingredients, mix with a spoon.
  5. Drain 1 large jar of cherries.
  6. Mix cherries into batter.
  7. Pour into greased 22cm – 24cm round cake tin and bake at 170-180c for 50 mins.
  8. Serve with sifted icing sugar.
